S.A.I.L. PurposeThe Safe Alliance of Interfaith Leaders is formed solely for charitable, religious, and educational purposes to foster peace, tolerance, and understanding among different faiths through constructive dialog, education, and community activities and service.
The Safe Alliance of Interfaith Leaders will fulfill its purpose by creating an interfaith community among faith-based congregations, organizations, and individuals in the Northwest Columbus area who share an interest in working together toward mutual understanding and action for the well-being of all people, and to promote respect, friendship, and trust within our community. |
The community came together at Dublin Community Church on November 16th to donate food to the Dublin Food Pantry and learn about the themes of thanks and giving in different faith traditions. This year's esteemed speakers were (from left to right) Savas Kaya, Turkish American Society of Ohio Community Outreach representative and Faculty Advisor to Muslim Student Association at Ohio University, Rabbi Jessica Shimberg of Little Minyan Kehillah, Sister Teresa Tuite, OP, Dominican Sister of Peace ministering at St. Brigid of Kildare, Dublin, and Dr. Taranjit Singh Butalia, Trustee Sikh Educational and Religious Foundation.
The community came out for Community Family Fun Day!

Interfaith March for Peace and Justice a SUCCESS!
More than 200 people gathered in downtown Columbus on Sunday, April 2nd for an Interfaith March for Peace and Justice. Led by Greg Davis of S.A.I.L., the purpose of the march was to express our deeply held beliefs of respect and safety for all people, regardless of religion, race, or national origin. Inspiring speeches were given before and after the march, and musicians and vocalists led participants in song.
To accompany the march, a petition was presented to Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine asking that he publicly denounce and prosecute hate crimes against marginalized, persecuted, or vulnerable populations.
